On the February 11, 2025, episode of WWE NXT, Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura secured a championship opportunity by defeating Hank Walker & Tank Ledger and No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
Following their victory, NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) appeared and granted Briggs and Inamura a title match at Vengeance Day on February 15, 2025.
